Mohammad Jamal Hossain is an Assistant Professor of Statistics in the School of Business & Economics at MIU, where he has been a faculty member since 2010. He began his career in teaching at MIU and has served more than 13 years as a mathematics and Statistics teacher. He is proud to be serving at MIU. In addition to teaching Mathematics, Statistics, and Research Methodology, he serves as an assistant proctor at MIU. He was the Coordinator of the BBA Program from 2018 to 2020. He is one of the Assistant Editors of the scholarly journal "MIU Studies". He is also a moderator of the MIU Cultural Club. Jamal graduated from the University of Dhaka with a degree in Statistics. He pursued a master’s degree in Econometrics with thesis from the University of Dhaka. He is skilled in Quantitative Research using SPSS, STATA, and R-Language. His research interests lie in the area of econometrics and social sciences ranging from theory to design to implementation. He participated in various trainings and workshops conducted by UNICEF and Academy for Educational Development (AED), USA. He has previously served as Research Associate for two UNICEF supported International Programme projects related to Global Study on Child Poverty and Disparities. He has written more than fifteen articles and published in reputed national and international journals. Jamal presented his research contributions in eminent National Conferences in different Universities and International Conferences. He has visited India, Nepal, Bhutan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Jamal enjoys playing and watching football, cricket and badminton matches and spending quality time with his family.
